Empty Headed Cowboys
What becomes when 3 guys from metal and alternative bands Sara and Lapko decide to join forces and take a step away from their usual duties, with a new kind of musical approach? The result is Pedestrian's Motor, a totally unique combination of electronic beats and indie sounds, spawning from a mellow state of mind.
Jorma Korhonen had made dozens of new tunes that didn't fit into Sara's repertoire. The material was definitely too good to waste, so Korhonen and bandmate Antti Tuomivirta decided to vent the material into a new sideproject. When thinking who would be the best singer for the project they ended up asking the unique-voiced Lapko-singer Ville Malja, whom they had met during a tour in the past.
The collision of depechemodeish style and johnnycashy attitude was something that no-one expected from the trio, maybe not even themselves. Still, already during the very first rehersal the trio completed four songs which were all released as a part of their ambitious MCD trilogy. Pedestrian's Motor was founded.
In the beginning of 2005 the band inked a deal with 1000 Records, a sublabel to Fullsteam Records. Before their first full-length album, Pedestrian's Motor have released a digipack MCD trilogy. The first chapter "I" was released in April 2005 and "II" followed a year later on April, 2006. The final part, "III", is released on November 2007 to lighten the darkest time of the year.
What about the future? You never know.
